Bristol’s new 20,000‑capacity live entertainment venue will be named the Aviva Arena.

YTL Live has announced a major long‑term partnership with Aviva, securing naming rights ahead of the venue’s opening in late 2028.

The Aviva Arena is expected to welcome around 1.4 million visitors each year and host more than 120 major events, establishing it as a leading destination for live music, sport and entertainment.

The launch event took place on 19th February at Aerospace Museum in Bristol. A special performance by chart-topping singer Tom Grennan, underneath the wings of Concorde was a highlight of the event. Over 400 guests attended to hear the news and celebrate in this iconic venue on the historic airfield.

CEO of YTL Live, Andrew Billingham, said:

"We are incredibly proud to welcome Aviva as our naming partner. This long-term partnership brings together two organisations with shared values around innovation, sustainability and community impact. Aviva Arena will put Bristol firmly on the global touring map, delivering unforgettable experiences for fans and artists alike while creating lasting benefits for the city."

Construction is now underway to transform the historic Brabazon Hangars into a world‑class entertainment complex. The wider YTL Live development will also include conference and exhibition facilities and is projected to contribute £1 billion to the Bristol economy in its first decade.

Located in Brabazon New Town, with a new train station opening later this year, the project will create over 2,000 construction jobs and around 500 permanent roles once operational.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the new Aviva Arena in 2028.
